This page explains what information the KH Haircare website collects, where it is kept, and for how long.

What is collected and why
Bookings
To arrange an appointment at the client's address, the booking form collects:
- Name
- WhatsApp number
- The service requested
- Hair details: length, density, previous colouring, and whether it is a first appointment
- Address
- Notes
- Chosen date and time
- The language the booking was made in
- Whether a reminder for the next appointment was requested
- The deposit amount, payment status and a payment reference
These details are used to plan the appointment, estimate how long it will take, travel to the address, and contact the client.
If the reminder box is ticked, the WhatsApp number is also used to send a reminder when the next appointment is due. The box is unticked by default, and reminders are sent only when it is ticked.
While a payment is in progress, the booking details are kept temporarily in the browser's session storage, so nothing has to be retyped. They are cleared once the booking is confirmed and are never sent anywhere else.
Reviews
The review form collects:
- First and last name
- Rating
- Review text
- Up to three photos, optional
These details are used to publish the review on the site once it is approved.
Photos are re-encoded in the browser before upload. This removes embedded metadata, including location.
Language preference
The choice between English and Arabic is kept in the browser's local storage, so the site opens in the same language next time. It stays on the device and is not sent anywhere.
Where it is stored
Booking details are stored in Google Calendar and Google Sheets on the business owner's Google account.
Reviews are stored in Google Sheets, and review photos in Google Drive, on the same account.
This storage is provided by Google, and Google's own terms and privacy policy apply to it.
The site's fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so each page view also makes a request to Google's servers.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe's secure page and are never received or stored by KH Haircare.
Stripe's own privacy policy applies to the payment data it processes.
How long it is kept
- Bookings: two years.
- Payment records: as required by applicable law.
- Published reviews: until the person who wrote the review asks for its removal.
- Reviews that are not published: deleted after 30 days.
- Language preference: until it is changed, or the browser's site data is cleared.
What is published
For a published review, only the first and last name, the rating, the review text and approved photos appear on the site.
Reviews appear only after the business owner approves them.
Booking details are never published.
Requesting access or deletion
Requests to see or delete personal data can be sent on WhatsApp:
A response is given within 30 days.
Reminders can be stopped at any time by sending a message to the same number.
Children
The service is for adults. No data is knowingly collected from minors.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated. The date at the top of the page shows when it last changed.
